Ethiopian Masresha Y. Andarge is the Peacebuilding, Human Rights and Humanitarian Programs Advisor of NGO AISDA. He holds an MA in Development Studies (Rotterdam), Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management (Maastricht) and Graduate Certificate in Humanitarian Leadership (Deakin University, Australia). He has worked in the development and humanitarian sectors for 15 years, addressing climate-induced drought, aid localisation and emergency humanitarian response.

Building on the first European Humanitarian Forum, as well as on the UNGA high-level event on accountability for sexual violence and other violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), this session continues the discussion on the means to improve monitoring of violations against IHL.
The session will discuss how the EU ensures that IHL is at the heart of its external action, and how EU Member States best can promote IHL. In addition, the session will evaluate how the ICC as well as preventive measures supported under ECHO’s Programmatic Partnership with the ICRC can promote IHL compliance in the current global context.
Maung Sawyeddollah is a student of BS BA and a Rohingya youth activist, from Myanmar, took shelter in Cox's Bazar refugee camp in Bangladesh since 2017. Currently, he is working as an Executive Director to Rohingya Student Network (RSN) and is fighting for the life, liberty, and security of his community.
