Biography
Marriët Schuurman is Director of the Department for Stabilization and Humanitarian Aid at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Previously, she acted as Human Rights Ambassador of the Ministry, and coordinated the Dutch membership of the UN Security Council, in 2018. Between 2014 and 2017, she served as NATO’s Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security, and until 2014, as the Dutch Ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia.
