The session will highlight the impact of climate change on at risk communities and identify gaps in the resilience of communities to climate shocks. It will investigate the importance of all actors across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus to ensure a holistic approach to building resilience to shocks. The session will investigate actions that Nexus actors could take to support at risk communities to build their resilience to climate shocks, and will also discuss the role of anticipatory action in addressing the impacts of climate change.

Biography
Co-founder and Advisor, Action for Integrated Sustainable Development Association (AISDA)
Ethiopian Masresha Y. Andarge is the Peacebuilding, Human Rights and Humanitarian Programs Advisor of NGO AISDA. He holds an MA in Development Studies (Rotterdam), Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management (Maastricht) and Graduate Certificate in Humanitarian Leadership (Deakin University, Australia). He has worked in the development and humanitarian sectors for 15 years, addressing climate-induced drought, aid localisation and emergency humanitarian response.

Biography
Maung Sawyeddollah is a student of BS BA and a Rohingya youth activist, from Myanmar, took shelter in Cox's Bazar refugee camp in Bangladesh since 2017. Currently, he is working as an Executive Director to Rohingya Student Network (RSN) and is fighting for the life, liberty, and security of his community.
